The final qualifying round of the National Contest “Miss Russia” – St. Petersburg will be held on December 12, 2009 at Golden Garden Club (goldengardenclub.com), one of the most luxurious venues in St. Petersburg. Beauty contests in St. Petersburg are not uncommon; however, the “Miss Russia” competition is the most highly anticipated contest of the year. The “Miss Russia” competition is the most famous and prestigious beauty contest in Russia. For many years this competition has been considered much more than a traditional beauty contest. The organizers of the competition showcase to the world the most beautiful girls from all of Russia. On December 12^th the winner for Miss Russia – St. Petersburg will be carefully selected by a jury which will include professionals in the field of fashion and style, representatives of Academy Model Agency, photographers and filmmakers, celebrities, and representatives of the Miss Russia competition. One of the evaluation criteria in selecting the winner will come from the Internet voting site www.mainpeople.ru. The winner will travel to Moscow and compete for the crown of “Miss Russia 2010” and $100,000 from Russian Standard Bank (www.bank.rs.ru).
